Fairytales on history books teach children that king and queen are in the most iconic place on the planet.

Life is good, super good and they are all fine. Everything works perfectly.

Sounds interesting, right?

But, Wait, I have a piece of very bad news for you.

Well, the bad news is this, the playing field is not used like it is used to be.

Things have dramatically changed.

We are now at a time where breaking ups are above the roofs.

People are really struggling, the rate of divorces are everywhere.

Scary stuff!!

As a dating coach, my rate of clients that have been struggling to fix their relationships has been skyrocketed.

My white carpet had turned into black due to the constant traffic of men and women looking for some possible solutions.

Well, we need to know the source of this misery.

In this awesome article, I am going to give you those 5 things that have been tanked modern relationships.

4 Things That Kill Modern Relationships

Instant Gratification

Look, we are part of a generation that will rush into anything just so we can tell the world that we have something. Everyone wants something to happen right now. Nobody trusts the process anymore.

Absence of patience, desire to have quick things rather than playing long term games have made countless relationships disappear. Partners are not willing to invest their time and energy fixing stuff, They have no time for long term goals.

And the bottom line is, the need for quick instant gratification have made couples to be tempted with materialistic things rather than humility and intimacy.

“The ability to discipline yourself to delay gratification in the short term in order to enjoy greater rewards in the long term is the indispensable prerequisite for success”

Brian Tracy

We Are Too Superficial

I have said this before and I will say it again that this generation is full of hopeless couples who have been spending all of their precious time on their appearance, and zero time upstairs (On their mind).

Results? Countless couples become so shallow in handling some emotionally and spiritual turbulence which leads to massive breakouts. It’s harder to handle and resolve conflicts maturely if you are too shallow upstairs.

The thing that women and men have yet to understand is that, physically attractive is a great way to get attention but mentally brilliance is a perfect way to make relationship progress. A few will understand this.

Absence Of Authenticity

The social media takeover have made hundreds of millions live in a bubble. Faking a lifestyle has become a new norm. Everyone is not real. Man, Pretty scary!

There is a whole generation out there that don’t even realise that being unauthentic is the fastest way to find unhappiness. The absence of authenticity has resulted in so many turbulences along the way.

What people must know is this, a strong relationship is built with the solid foundation of truth and authenticity. People have to be real and be comfortable with their own skins.

“Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen”

Brene Brown

We Ignore Too Many Red Flags

Things that killing modern relationships? Ignoring of red flags. Unaddressed some issues that could have taken a few days to fix always resulted in long term regrets and breakups. This is a scientific-based fact.

It baffles me to see countless couples choose to refuse to voice their concerns about some uncomfortable stuff which always lead to long term problems. When you want a bright future in your relationship you have to get better at recognizing those red flags and step in.

Here are some examples of Relationship red flags:

  • Lack of proper communication.
  • Unusual emotional reactions.
  • Receiving more pain than joy.
  • Not listen to your opinions.

Takeaway Message:

In a world that promotes constant self-doubt and distractions the only better way to save your relationship is to go back to the basics. Being real, humble and mature will always give you a very unfair advantage in this modern world.
